משקמים את הירקון

נחל הירקון הוא הגדול בנחלי ישראל ומשתרך לאורך 27.5 ק"מ, החל מאזור מעיינות ראש העין ועד השפך בחופי תל אביב של ים התיכון. אולם, כבר בשנות ה-50 של ה-120 נמצא שהירקון מזוהם, עקב הזרמת ביוב לנחל. לאורך השנים הוקמו תכניות שונות לטהרו, ואכן חלקים ממנו שוקמו, אך כיוון שהזרמת השפכים לנחל נמשכה, מי הירקון נותרו מסוכנים לשחייה, גם בימינו אנו.

 

לפני מספר שנים 'מקורות' החלה בתכנון שיקום הירקון, כיוזמה משותפת עם עיריית תל אביב. לפני כשנתיים, בסיומו של תכנון זה, שח"מ החלה בהקמת מתקן 'שבע הטחנות', כחלק מהפרוייקט. מתקן זה כולל את תחנת השאיבה והבריכה, וכן את מערכות החשמל, הפיקוד והבקרה. הקמת מערכות אלה מתבצעת בשיתוף פעולה עם חברת 'סואז' הבינלאומית, לאור היכולת שלה לתת מענה תהליכי תכנוני למתקן הסינון, בהתאם לצרכיו הספציפיים של הירקון.

 

כחלק מתכנית השיקום של הירקון, המים המזוהמים של הירקון צפויים להישאב ממנו על ידי מתקן 'שבע הטחנות', ואז לעבור למתקן סינון תהליכי שמקימה שח"מ בשיתוף פעולה עם מתכנן חיצוני וחברת 'סואז'. מתקן סינון תהליכי זה נקרא 'יער בראשית', והוא נמצא בסמוך למימדיון.

 

משאבה אחרת הנמצאת במתחם, תשאב את המים הנקיים לאחר הסינון, ותעביר אותם לבריכת אגירה (בריכת מי מוצר) הסמוכה. מהבריכה יועברו המים המסוננים הן להשקיית פארק הירקון והן בחזרה לנהר. באופן זה, אחוז הזיהום במי הירקון צפוי לרדת, ואיכות המים שלו תשתפר.

 

מדובר בהליך טכנולוגי מאוד חדשני, כאשר כל המערכות המתוכננות על ידי שח"מ הן מערכות אוטומטיות עצמאיות אשר אינן זקוקות לנוכחות אדם. כמו כן, המתחם נבנה תוך התחשבות בתנאי הסביבה, ומתוך רצון שישתלב בנוף, הן בצבעיו והן במיקומו. בנוסף, על גג מתקן הסינון יוקם מרכז מבקרים אשר ישמש כמרכז הדרכה לפעילות מיחזור המים והשבתם. למרכז זה יהיו חלונות שקופים, דרכם ניתן יהיה לראות הן את התהליך כולו, והן את האופן בו 'קבוצת מקורות' דואגת לאיכות המים תוך שמירה על הסביבה ועל הטבע והחי.

 

יש לציין ששח"מ תספק את כל הציוד החשמלי הדרוש, כולל ייצור לוחות החשמל והפיקוד (מתבצע בימים אלו), ולאחר סיום ההקמה והפעלת הניסיון (בתוך כשנה), תעביר את הפרוייקט לתיפעול 'מקורות'.
